CES 2024 is rapidly approaching next week where we expect to learn all about the new 2024 LG TVs. So far, we have already reported on LG’s 2024 QNED TVs, which offer incredible value for performance but can’t quite deliver the deepest black levels of OLED TVs. As the excitement for LG’s top-of-the-line 2024 OLED TVs builds, here’s what we know so far.

2024 LG OLED TVs
LG will continue its range of 4K OLED TVs in 2024 across four series:
- 2023 B3 models will be replaced by 2024 B4 models (good with stand)
- 2023 C3 models will be replaced by 2024 C4 models (better with stand)
- 2023 G3 models will be replaced by 2024 G4 models (best with stand or wall-mount)
- 2023 M3 models will be replaced by 2024 M4 models (best with wireless)
Tip: All series offer 4K resolution.
LG is claiming that its 2024 OLED TV lineup will elevate viewer’s experience to a higher level. Compared to last year’s top models, LG is claiming 70% improved graphics and 30% faster processing. However, how that translates to real world viewing has yet to be determined.
The new additions to the OLED line-up incorporate enhanced AI processing bringing out the best of what OLED technology has to offer. Precise pixel-level image analysis is said to sharpen objects and backgrounds that may appear blurry in an effort to deliver more three dimensional images.
LG’s webOS smart TV platform provides tailored solutions and services with an expanded ecosystem featuring extended connectivity, offering unique encounters as a media and entertainment platform company.
Key Features (G4 & M4)
AI-Powered Performance: The LG SIGNATURE OLED M4 and LG OLED G4 TVs are equipped with the new α (Alpha) 11 AI processor, which effectively enhances picture and audio quality. This provides a 70 percent improvement in graphic performance and a 30 percent faster processing speed compared to its predecessor, the a9.
Tip: The G4 and M4 both use EVO panels and support Brightness Booster Max technology.
AI Upscaling: LG’s newest OLED TVs come with upgraded AI upscaling utilizing precise pixel-level image analysis, to effectively sharpen objects and backgrounds that may appear blurry.
Color Processing: The AI processor refines colors by analyzing frequently used shades that best convey the mood and emotional elements intended by filmmakers and content creators.
AI Picture Pro: This feature distinguishes faces, objects, and backgrounds within a scene, enriching the texture and fine details to present images with unparalleled realism.
Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro: This feature splits the picture into blocks and analyzes each in real-time to detect the darkest and brightest areas, elevating details with precise HDR optimization.
Personalized Picture Wizard: This feature enables users to further customize image quality by selecting a few preferred images from a given selection that are intelligently set up through deep learning.
AI Sound Pro: This provides viewers with up to 11.1.2 channel virtual surround sound from the TVs’ built-in speakers. In addition, LG’s WOW Orchestra feature integrates select LG Sound Bars with the TV’s speakers, providing a more immersive 3D sound experience. AI technology also separates vocals from the soundtrack to enhance the clarity of dialogue and elevates it so that it sounds like it coming directly from the TV screen.
Gaming: LG’s OLED models feature several gaming advantages including an impressive 4K 144Hz refresh rate and comprehensive HDMI 2.1 features. GameOptimizer is included to to let gamers easily switch between display presets designed for different gaming genres, and support NVIDIA G-SYNC ® Compatible and AMD FreeSync to eliminate immersion-breaking tearing and stuttering.
WebOS: Just like other LG smart TVs, the OLED line incorporates the webOS smart TV platform – in this case WebOS 24. This provides access to abundant streaming content (including LG Channels) and voice control, as well as allowing users to create individual profiles to tailor the viewing experience to their preferences. The TVs can differentiate between voices based on user profiles and offer personalized recommendations by interpreting patterns from their comprehensive usage history.
Within WebOS, Dynamic Q Card provides fast and easy access to its services, with the customized organization into groups, such as Home Office, Home Hub, Sports, and Games.

Wireless OLED TV (M4)
LG introduced its first OLED M Series TV at the 2023 CES.
The OLED M4 is the world’s first TV with wireless video and audio transmission at up to 4K 144Hz, delivering superior OLED performance with accurate details and an elevated sense of immersion.
Instead of incorporating all the connectivity, processing, and smart features within the TV display, LG’s M series TVs incorporate them into an external box that transfers audio and video signals to the OLED TV display wirelessly.

Previously only available in a 97-inch screen size on introduction, LG added 83-inch ($7,399) and 77-inch ($4,499) sizes during 2023. For 2024, the M4 will be available in a 65-inch screen size. From the 65-inch model to the 97-inch giant, cleaner and distraction-free viewing is more easily accessible. The innovative wireless Zero Connect Box eliminates all connected cables. The M4 does not come with a stand, but one can be ordered.
LG G4 Series
LG G4 has almost identical features to the M4 (including the a11 AI processor and is available in 55 to 97-inch screen sizes. Available as of March 2024, the G4 now comes with a stand or wall-mount option, whereas previously G3 models only included a wall-mount.

LG C4 Series
The LG C4 series incorporates the Alpha 9 AI processor and should be brighter than last year’s C3. The C4 will screen sizes ranging from 42 to 83 inches, and will be available March 2024.

LG B4 Series
The entry-level B4 series will have an upgraded a8 AI processor which supports some of the capabilities LG a9 processor. This model series also comes in a smaller 48-inch size. All B4 models will include 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs.
