All prices are MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) so while they may seem a bit high, we expect to see lower actual street prices. At publication time, the 55-inch model was selling for $1,496, 65-inch was $1,896 and the 77-inch was $2,696. See Amazon links above for current pricing.
12 years after LG’s first 55-inch OLED TV was released, LG’s B4 Series includes several improvements over its predecessors, including the Alpha 8 AI-driven processor and an upgraded WebOS Smart TV and Smart Home platform. Of course, it is OLED’s fully emissive self-lit pixels – over 8 million of them per TV – that give the technology its picture quality advantages over LED/LCD and QLED TVs. LG OLED TVs offer true blacks and rich saturated colors that make images seem to pop off the screen.
All of LG’s B4 OLED TVs feature native 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840×2160 pixels), with HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Vision dynamic HDR as well as Dolby Atmos immersive surround sound. The Alpha 8 AI Processor with AI Picture Pro adjusts TV settings automatically, fine-tuning the picture for the specific content being viewed.
Good for Gaming
The B4 deliver a lightning quick 0.1ms panel response time and up to 120Hz refresh rate, supporting high-speed gaming without the image blurring or tearing you’ll see on lesser TVs. NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium and VRR are all supported, creating a truly premium gaming experience. The set’s four HDMI inputs all support HDMI 2.1 features and LG includes a Game Dashboard and Game Optimizer for all gamers, from casual to hard-core.
Compatibility R Us
In addition to LG’s robust WebOS streaming and smart home platform, the B4 OLED TVs include built-in support for multiple third party platforms, including Amazon Alexa, Apple AirPlay 2, Apple HomeKit and Google Chromecast, for compatibility with a wide array of features and services. Consumers can control their device, search and access content from Siri, Alexa and Google assistant on compatible devices. In addition to premium streaming services like MAX, Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+, LG offers access to over 300 free channels via “LG Channels,” including movies, news, sports and more.
With LG’s “WOW Orchestra” feature, LG soundbars can work together with LG TVs to use all of the available speakers on the bar, the TV and any rear and surround speakers to create an enlarged soundstage and improved depth and height for immersive content such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
LG’s B4 series is the company’s “entry-level” OLED TV for 2024, joining the step-up C4 and G4 OLED TVs which are also available now. The company is not releasing an “A” series OLED TV in 2024.
