Kodak Offers Customized Single Use Cameras

New offering from Kodak allows businesses to customize the exterior of their cameras, so the images captured and the cameras themselves can both reflect a brand or event.

Businesses and organizations from virtually any industry can now add a unique dimension to their brand by creating their own KODAK Custom Single Use Camera adorned with customized artwork such as a company logo, event image, or a sales convention theme. While KODAK Cameras have always been used to create memories via the images they capture, the camera now becomes part of the memory with this new service. Kodak’s custom cameras, available online beginning April 3, have already been very well received by businesses and organizations such as NASCAR, Disney, the U.K.’s Natural History Museum and the Rochester Rhinos soccer team who all tested the concept last year.

“Kodak has been very successful in offering consumers a range of Single Use Cameras designed to fit certain occasions as with our Wedding version and outdoor applications as with our Sport Camera,” said Joel Proegler, general manager, Film Capture and vice president, Film, Photofinishing & Entertainment Group of Eastman Kodak Company. “We’re excited about this new service, because it offers companies of any type the ability to create a unique extension of their brand for virtually any purpose or event. Conventions at hotels, sales conferences or an awards ceremony — these are all occasions where a customized camera would be a welcome addition providing a great branding/messaging opportunity. Want a camera with your company’s headquarters on the face to give to employees and prospective clients? We can do that. Want to offer fans of your city’s sports team a specially designed camera with an image of their favorite player on it? We can do that too.”

Those interested in more information on ordering custom single use cameras can contact daehn.steffen@kodak.com now and register to be updated when custom cameras are available on line April 3. Beginning April 3, customers can create their custom cameras by going to Kodak’s B2B Partner website (www.Kodak.com/go/partner) to upload their images and order cameras. They will be walked through an easy-to-follow process, fitting a wide variety of images and background designs to the template. The minimum order is 250 units, and prices will be competitive with non-custom cameras.

“Kodak’s Custom Cameras enable Disneyland Resort Paris to directly link the product to the visit experience, to offer greater choice so as to appeal to a wider target audience and to create impactful product display in-store. The combined effect strengthens our Resort’s overall marketing message as well as our partnership with the Kodak brand,” said Greg Somerville, Merchandise Manager for Disneyland Resort Paris.

“The customized Single Use Cameras that Kodak created for the Rhinos were a huge hit with the fans! We were able to pay tribute to past players and feature a new era of Rhinos soccer through images on the cameras,” said Christine Ward, Director of Sales, Rochester Rhinos. “Our fans enjoyed taking pictures at games and left the stadium with a great keepsake! The Single Use Cameras are a great idea for any business!”
