Traditional audiophiles might roll their eyes at this announcement from Klipsch, but we think it’s rather smart; the focus on having fun whilst listening to music with other people is a concept lost on a large segment of audiophiles. In 2023, Klipsch introduced its Music City Series portable Bluetooth speakers named after three iconic American music cities: Austin, Nashville, and Detroit.
As a follow-up, Klipsch is adding 3 Party Speakers to the Music City series named after 3 well-known party cities, Las Vegas, Miami, and New York. All three are being shown at the 2025 CES. These party speakers are descendants of Klipsch’s GIG XL and GIG XXL party speakers also just introduced in 2023.
The speakers have been Master-tuned by Roy Delgado, protégé of founder Paul W. Klipsch. As a result, they support the energy and excitement of their iconic party city labels through Klipsch’s horn-loaded technology and modern features.
From Roy Delgado: “It all started with a party,…Our founder was the DJ when he debuted his legendary Klipschorn loudspeaker at a victory dance in Hope, Arkansas, celebrating the end of WWII.”
With Klipsch’s high efficiency, low distortion technologies the speakers are designed to deliver impressive sound quality while saving on battery power providing long-lasting enjoyment for any party.
All models come with a microphone for karaoke, handles for easy travel, buttons for airhorn, record-scratch, and applause to pump up the crowd, as well as RGB lighting in various patterns and colors for visual impact.
The Klipsch Vegas and Miami have built-in pole mounts for easy setup, whilst the larger Klipsch Miami and Klipsch New York feature trolley wheels to make them easier to transport.
All three models can take advantage of the Klipsch Connect Plus App (iOS, Android), which allows for customized EQ settings, light patterns, and more.
Built-in rechargeable batteries in all three models provide extended play time on each charge. The speakers also have an IPX4 rating, which makes them splashproof and protects them from dust.
Six preset RGB light shows sync to the beat with custom, app-controlled colors, alongside added details from the side-logo lights to amplify any party atmosphere.
Party Link allows users to connect multiple Music City Party speakers which might prove useful should you have a large deck or backyard where you want to maximise coverage.
Support for Bluetooth 5.2 provides easy direct content streaming from your preferred music streaming platform and Bass Boost mode ups the output low frequencies to add even more excitement to the music listening experience.
3.5mm auxiliary and ¼” instrument input jacks are provided to support karaoke or jam sessions with compatible electronic musical instruments.
A USB Type-A port lets users connect and reverse-charge their device while still listening to their saved playlists.
The party speakers are designed to be very user-friendly and come with access to a simplified manual available in nine languages so anyone can take full advantage of what they offer right out of the box.

The Bottom Line
Although primarily known for its horn-loaded loudspeakers, starting with the legendary Klipschorn, Klipsch has branched out into other related product lines, such as subwoofers, soundbars, headphones, computer speakers, architectural speakers, and portable Bluetooth speakers.
Klipsch has placed their latest batch of party speakers within their Music City portable Bluetooth speaker line-up but still offers their previously released GIG line of XL and XXL party speakers with which they share some features.
Based on what has been revealed at CES 2025, Klipsch clearly sees greater opportunities in the lifestyle categories versus the high-end audio market where the customer base is significantly smaller.
When you look at all 3 models, it’s clear that Klipsch are offering consumers a rather wide range of options based on the types of events they are holding.
However, the speakers don’t seem to be that much different from the party speakers offered by competitors such as JBL, Sony, and LG (refer to our related reading section at the end of this article).
Klipsch has been under the Premium Audio Company Umbrella since 2020, along with Onkyo, Integra, and several other audio brands.
In the past year (2024), Klipsch has collaborated with Onkyo on the Klipsch Flexus soundbar line along with an expanded partnership with Dirac. However, there is no indication that the Music City Party Speaker line is a part of Klipsch’s collaborative efforts with Onkyo.
