Kenwood, a leading brand in home and mobile entertainment products, introduces its new Kenwood Fineline multi-format DVD players, the DVF-8100 and DVF-3080-S. Both players offer slim, sleek looking, silver-faced designs and incorporate progressive scan video output as well as MP3/WMA audio, DVD video, and JPEG photo CD playback features. Progressive scan provides optimum picture quality in home theater systems equipped with HD-capable plasma and projection TVs and monitors. For those looking to watch homemade DVDs or a photo slide show, the DVF-8100 and DVF-3080-S can handle the latest formats, including DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW, as well as JPEG photo CDs. In addition to playing DVD and JPEG photo discs, both play conventional CD and CD-R/RWs and decode MP3 and WMA music files recorded on CD-R and CD-RW discs. Coaxial digital audio outputs provide high-quality audio connections for digital home theater applications. Video connections include component, S-Video and composite video.

The DVF-8100 comes with a brushed aluminum face plate, while the DFV-3080-S offers a matte silver faceplate. Both players match the styling of most TV monitors being sold currently, including the increasingly popular flat panel video displays, and feature a new slim line design that allows them to fit under most TV stands and cabinetry along with a VCR, cable or satellite tuner. Both players come with a full-function remote control.

The DVF-8100 will be available in May from authorized Kenwood home electronics dealers at a suggested retail price of $150.00. The DFV-3080-S is currently available at a suggested retail price of $120.00.
