For 2013, JVC announced two in-dash, single-DIN digital media head units, offering extended compatibility with smartphone devices as well as 6-key presets and fully detachable anti-theft faceplate to deter theft. The short-body design of the KD-X200 boasts a compact chassis while the KD-X250BT (pictured above) includes a variety of built-in Bluetooth functions. Continuing from 2012 will be the flagship KD-X80BT, which offers Bluetooth wireless technology and a flip-down three-line LCD display.
Chassis and Faceplate Design
A short-body design that is 30% shallower than standard DIN size receivers will be incorporated into the entry-level KD-X200, allowing for unconventional installations where space may be an issue, such as on ATVs or motorcycles. A lighter and more compact digital media receiver also uses less carton packaging to help save on shipping costs and storage space. JVC has integrated two new additional upgrades to all new 2013 digital media receivers, which include 6-key presets on the faceplate as well as fully detachable anti-theft faceplate for all three models in the lineup.
