JVC INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE AND SLEEK NEW AUDIO PRODUCTS FEATURING MADE FOR iPod CONNECTIVITY AND XM SATELLITE RADIO READINESS
Innovative New Products Offer Affordable Outstanding Audio
Performance in Compact and Stylish Designs
LAS VEGAS, January 7, 2007 — In a move that provides listeners exciting new options for enjoying both traditional and iPod and XM Satellite Radio music sources, JVC today announced the introduction of four new versatile audio products that expand JVC’s Made for iPod product offering and reinforce JVC’s longstanding commitment to audio quality and stylish design.
JVC’s new audio products make it easier than ever to bring top-quality sound and convenient iPod playback to any room in the house. All offer an iPod connection that provides control and charging, and most offer USB Host for playback from most flash audio players. The company’s new Made for iPod product line includes the UX-EP300, a 2.1-channel DVD theater system featuring 3D Phonic Front Sound technology; the UX-EP100, an ultra-compact two-channel desktop music system with CD/MP3/WMA playback; the MX-KC58, a powerful 400-watt mini system that is XM-ready; and the RD-HA3, a boombox that features side-firing subwoofers and XM Satellite Radio readiness.
“JVC’s new line of audio products expands playback capabilities of a home entertainment system as never before. With simple connectivity options, JVC has delivered products that enable consumers to enjoy the best of both worlds — the massive music storage capacity and versatile digital jukebox functionality of portable player products and the superlative sound quality of JVC audio systems,” noted Steve Howcott, General Manager, Consumer Audio, JVC Company of America. He continued, “JVC is committed to providing consumers with products that offer exceptional performance along with elegant, refined styling that complements every living space.”
The new JVC UX-EP300 is a stylish, compact 2.1-channel DVD home theater speaker system. Featuring JVC’s innovative 3D Phonic Front Surround technology, the UX-EP300 reproduces a convincing sense of distance and space from a 2.1-channel speaker configuration, providing a surround sound experience without the need for rear speakers. The subwoofer delivers powerful, deep bass, rounding out a package that conveys movie soundtracks and music with thrilling impact and realism.
The UX-EP300 also features an iPod connection that offers iPod charging and control of play, stop, skip and volume. An iPod stand and connector cable is included. It also features USB Host, allowing playback of files from most flash audio players or flash memory drives (WMA, MP3 files and WAV files). Other features include auxiliary front panel input/output ports for connecting additional playback devices and an illuminated touch panel control system.
Another JVC Made for iPod micro system is the UX-EP100, a low-profile CD system with two speakers and an iPod connection with charging and control of play, stop, skip and volume. USB Host connectivity allows playback of MP3 and WMA files from flash memory digital audio players or other USB devices, such as flash memory drives, hard drives or card readers. The UX-EP100 stands just a few inches tall, features a main unit finished in black and silver, and comes with matching black speakers. Illuminated touch operability adds ease-of-use functionality and highlights the stylish design. An iPod stand and connector cable is included.
The JVC MX-KC58 mini system couples powerful sound quality with innovative connectivity options. Featuring the same iPod connection, control and charging as JVC’s other Made for iPod products, the MX-KC58 is also XM Ready, allowing users to connect an XM antenna through front panel ports. Offering 400 watts total power, the MX-KC58 also features Sound Turbo, for wall-shaking, intensified bass. For additional playback options, there’s a three 3-CD carousel system.
Adding an element of style and innovation to the traditional boombox, JVC is also introducing the RD-HA3. The RD-HA3 features side-firing subwoofers and a power output of 40 total watts. Available in black or white, the RD-HA3 offers JVC’s Made for iPod features, plus USB Host. The RD-HA3 is also XM Ready allowing consumers to take the XM satellite radio network wherever they roam – from the beach to a party and back home. With a built-in CD player that also plays MP3, WMA and WAV discs, the RD-HA3 is truly an advanced music station that can add life to any gathering.
