The new JBL WR2.4 wireless over-ear headphones offer untethered listening freedom up to 100 feet (30 meters) away from the base station. These headphones should not be confused with Bluetooth headphones, which stream directly from smartphones. Instead, the base station must be connected to your home stereo via regular RCA audio cable, which is included. The base station then streams music using 2.4 GHz wireless technology to the headphones.
Since the headphones require power to receive a wireless audio signal, they must be re-charged by docking them back on the base station. JBL claims eight hours of continuous listening.
The JBL WR2.4 headphones are designed for comfort with generously sized padded cups and a fully adjustable headband. JBL says these wireless headphones can be worn for extended periods without fatigue.
JBL engineers have designed the WR2.4 headphones with semi-closed back acoustics for naturally enhanced sound quality throughout their 18 Hz to 20 kHz sound range. The uncompromising 2.4 GHz digital bandwidth ensures reception untainted by transmission noise, and the 32-ohm impedance enables a wide range of listening volumes.
JBL WR2.4 headphones come with two rechargeable AAA batteries, a pick-up-and-go charging cradle and power adapter; and a 3.5 mm stereo to dual RCA audio cable for connecting your audio system to the transmitter base.
