INDIANAPOLIS (January 8, 2007)- If you desire room-filling audio and impactful home cinema, but tremble at the thought of masses of loudspeakers invading your space, then Jamo has a solution for you… the new S 260 HCS 21 2.1-channel Virtual Surround System.
Available exclusively in European markets, the heart of this powerful system is our high-quality DVD receiver, the S VSR 25. The highlight is the SRS Virtual Surround function which uses complex sound algorithms to create the illusion of a full surround system — with only two speakers and a subwoofer.
The highly versatile 2 x 65W DVD receiver features two ways to easily play media: from the front via a USB port, enabling you to easily play media files, such as MP3s and WMAs, or show JPEG photos, and from the rear panel where a mini-jack audio input let’s you connect your MP3 player.
On the back, there are additional auxiliary inputs allowing you to connect to your computer, TV or gaming console. You can play DVDs, DivX and XviD movies, as well as show JPEGs and Kodak Photo CDs. Video outputs comprise high bandwidth component video, S-video and composite video. Finish off with an AM/FM tuner with RDS, giving you even more ways to enjoy this flexible system.
The speakers supplied are no less elegant. Two compact A 102 satellites, custom-designed and optimised for the Virtual Surround system, are supplied. While a powerful active subwoofer, the S 260 SUB, with an 8″ long-throw woofer housed in a bass-reflex cabinet, completes the system. The satellite speakers are magnetically shielded and are either wall or table-top mountable.
A highly versatile and powerful system, this 2.1 virtual surround system integrates easily into any home and plays just about any kind of media.
Jamo’s S 260 HCS 21 system is available exclusively in European markets immediately, in either high gloss black or high gloss white finishes.
