Integra announced four new networking A/V receivers with USB capabilities, the DTR-20.3, DTR-30.3, DTR-40.3, and DTR-50.3. Such advanced features were only available on last year's DTR-40.2 and higher models, allow consumers to access a vast array of music via internet radio, on home computer networks, flash drives and hard discs, or by direct digital connection of portable devices such as iPod/iPhone and various MP3 players.

Anticipating the next steps in video display technology for high-end and commercial customers, Integra has equipped all four models with the Marvell Qdeo 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) upscaling video processor, while the DTR-50.3 also adds the IDT HQV Vida VHD1900 for additional high-performance video processing and ISF calibration capabilities. On the audio side, the DTR-40.3 and DTR-50.3 add Audyssey's MultEQ XT for advanced room acoustics correction, Dolby Volume, dual subwoofer preamp outputs, remote controls with macros, plus improved system integration capabilities on all models.

The Marvell Qdeo 4K video processor is now used across the line to provide upscaling from lower-resolution HDMI, component video, S-video, and PC (analog RGB) source devices to a full 4K HDMI output, and it can handle 1080p scaling with ease.

The Integra DTR-50.3 adds a second high-performance video processor, the IDT HQV Vida VHD1900. The Vida processor is used to upscale of all 480i/p, 576p, and 720p video sources to 1080p, while the Qdeo processor is used to perform 4K upscaling of 1080p sources. The Vida chip includes proven HQV processing to enhance image detail and quality with four-field motion adaptive de-interlacing, multi cadence tracking, expanded 12-bit color processing and detail enhancement. The result transforms standard-definition sources to HD quality and makes HD look even more detailed. It also provides real-time clean up of highly compressed video by reducing compression artifacts of block and mosquito noise from lower-quality sources such as Internet video. In addition, this processor allows a further refinement of video performance with its inclusion of ISF Calibration controls.

All four of these new Integra receivers are fully 3D-ready with up to eight HDMI inputs, plus they include lossless audio processing using Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio Decoding. The top three models have front-panel HDMI inputs and the top two models have dual HDMI outputs. A these new Integra receivers are certified for Windows 7 and DLNA, and can playback a wide variety digital audio file formats via a home network or connected USB devices. With the direct digital connection via the front-panel USB port users can access MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC audio files stored on a USB flash drives or iPod/iPhone, and all four models offer wireless connectivity via an optional UFW-1 wireless USB adaptor. The DTR-50.3 also has a rear-panel USB connection.

In addition to the Made for iPod/iPhone front USB connection, an optional iPod/iPhone dock can be connected to the proprietary Universal Port. This U-Port can also be used for an optional HD Radio Tuner and forthcoming wireless devices. The rear Ethernet network connection provides access to internet radio and streaming music services, with preformatted service packages for Mediafly, Pandora, Slacker, Napster, Rhapsody, vTuner, SIRIUS XM Internet Radio, and, on the DTR-40.3 and DTR-50.3 only, Last.fm.

With Integra's reputation for exceptional sound quality, all three models offer powerful THX-Select2 Plus certified amplifier sections using the company's low-negative feedback Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT), three-stage inverted Darlington circuitry, and High Current Power Supplies (HCPS), with massive transformers. TI Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-bit DACs are used on each channel.

  • The DTR-20.3 is a 5.2-channel receiver, 8-ohm rated at 90-watts per channel
  • The DTR-30.3 is a 7.2-channel receiver, 8-ohm rated at 100 watts per channel
  • The DTR-40.3 is a 7.2-channel receiver, 8-ohm rated at 110 watts per channel
  • The DTR-50.3 is a 7.2-channel receiver, 8-ohm rated at 135 watts per channel

The DTR-30.3, '40.3 and '50.3 include multichannel analog preouts for possible use with separate component power amplifiers. These receivers also provide a full complement of legacy analog and digital connections, while the DTR40.3 and 50.3 also include a phono input.

These receivers use advanced Audyssey audio processing technologies to help improve the room acoustics and listening experience. The DTR-40.3 and DTR-50.3 use Audyssey MultEQ XT which allows full spectrum acoustic measurements from multiple locations, while the other two use Audyssey 2EQ. All three include Audyssey Dynamic EQ for loudness correction and Audyssey Dynamic Volume to maintain optimal listening level and dynamic range. The DTR-40.3 and DTR-50.3 include Audyssey DSX height and wide channels, while the DTR-30.3 has DSX height. The DTR-30.3 and higher include Dolby ProLogic IIz height channel capabilities, and the DTR-40.3 and DTR-50.3 also includes Dolby Volume to optimize the sound for any listening level.

Since Integra products are designed for custom installers and systems integrators, they all include bi-directional Ethernet and RS232 ports for control, 2 IR inputs and 1 out, 3 programmable 12-V triggers, non-volatile and lockable dealer settings, firmware updates via Ethernet and USB, Overlaid Graphical On-Screen Display (OSD), and GUI Navigation via HDMI. The DTR-20.3 has Zone 2 preouts with independent volume, bass, treble and balance controls. The DTR-30.3 adds powered Zone 2, the DTR-40.3 adds Zone 2 video, and the DTR-50.3 adds zone2/3 preouts. The DTR-50.3 also includes a bidirectional, preprogrammed, and customizable remote controls with on-screen set-up, mode-key LEDs, and Macro presets for four activities.
