Record-Setting 800 Entries Highlight Innovative Design and Product Advancements
New York, NY, November 10, 2004 — With more than 800 entries from 347 companies, the International CES today announced its Innovations 2005 Design and Engineering Showcase honorees. Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the International CES Innovations Awards highlight product advancements in technology design and engineering. Winning entries will be showcased at the 2005 International CES, the world’s largest annual tradeshow for consumer technology, January 6-9, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The International CES Innovations Design and Engineering award program provides manufacturers and developers the opportunity to have their products judged by an independent panel of journalists, designers and engineers. The Best of Innovations designation is awarded to products that earned the highest honors from the panel of judges. These “best of the best” products will be on display during CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of the 2005 International CES. CES Unveiled will take place Tuesday, January 4, 2005, from 4-7 p.m., in room S226, across from the press room, of the Las Vegas Convention Center. CES Unveiled participants who are also Innovations honorees include: Audio Products International, Cerwin-Vega, Eaton’s Electrical Business, Logitech, Meedio, NetGear, Sanyo Fisher, Shure and Wildseed.
With its distinguished reputation as a top consumer technology awards program, the International CES Innovations 2005 showcases the best products in design and engineering in 27 categories. The Best of Innovations honorees for 2005 are:
