Incentient SmartCellar Interactive Wine List

Incentient, the transaction services company specializing in bringing clients closer to their customers, today announced the launch of SmartCellar, the newest product in their SmartTouch℠ series of touch-screen technology applications. The wireless, lightweight (under 1 lb) handheld device brings the restaurants entire wine cellar to life at the patron’s fingertips.

Gone are the days of endless printed wine lists on volumes of paper presented in inconsistent formats. Customers will never be disappointed that their selection is unavailable because the system updates inventory automatically and will not display a wine that is out of stock.

By either the bottle or the glass, customers can easily search for their wine by price, grape, year, country, region, characteristics, appellation, etc. Simple and intuitive, the SmartCellar makes wine selection easy enough for the novice, and detailed enough for even the most seasoned connoisseurs. The number of search options is limitless and the elegant interface can be customized to meet the look and feel requirements of individual restaurants.

“There are few things steeped in history as much as wine selection at meal times, the marriage of technology and history make this application the most exciting innovation to hit the restaurant circuit in years,” says Jennifer Martucci, Vice President of Marketing/Product Development and co-founder.

SmartCellar is debuting in Tony May’s new SD26 restaurant in New York City. The device has been customized to fit with the decor and needs of SD26.

“At SD26, the electronic wine list will allow our customers to easily and intuitively navigate our expansive collection of more than 10,000 bottles,” says Tony May, owner of SD26. “SD26’s innovative approach to wine selection and SmartCellar’s customizable wine program makes finding the perfect wine for every meal more enjoyable and accessible for all wine lovers.”

“The application success at SD26 is a clear example of our business mission of better connecting our clients to their customers. In the coming months, we look forward to announcing Incentient’s pending roll-outs currently in production,” says Patrick Martucci, Incentient’s Chairman and CEO.

SmartCellar uses Incentient’s patent-pending SmartTouch technology. The attractive streamlined device is a perfect complement to any restaurant design, and the simple intuitive menu guides guests easily through the selection process.

For restaurants that cater to an International crowd, SmartCellar is completely multi-lingual; and can be reproduced in up to 150 languages.
