iLuv announced the MobiAir iMM377 Wireless Stereo Speaker Dock for smartphones with a micro-USB connection. The universal smartphone audio docking station uses Bluetooth technology to play music from any Android, Windows or Blackberry smartphone device.
The varying device dimensions and micro-USB location and orientation makes it difficult to design an audio dock that will work for most smartphones. iLuv has resolved this with its patent-pending myBot OmniFit Technology-robotic arms that automatically grasp the edges of the device to hold it securely in place, adjusting for various sizes and widths.
“Many households have devices from a variety of manufacturers, all with different form factors and micro-USB connections,” said Peter Choi, Marketing Manager at iLuv. “Until now, there hasn't been a single, easy-to-use, high-quality audio dock that could both connect and charge all of those devices.
The MobiAir also charges the device when cradled using the micro-USB port.
Pricing and Availability
The iLuv MobiAir (iMM377) will be available May 2012 for $119.99.
