Atlanta, GA — At the recent IASCA/USACi Unified World Finals in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, Hybrid Audio Technologies “Team Hybrids” members Dave Lechner and Rick Nichols taste the sweet nectar of sound quality world championship victories.
“I am extremely excited for our Hybrids team” exclaims Scott Buwalda, founder and managing member of Hybrid Audio Technologies, LLC, and former three-time expert world champion. “We had three competitors at this event, and of the three, two won their respective classes, and the third finished a very respectable fourth place in the largest class of the IASCA event.” World champion team member Dave Lechner competes a blue 2002 Acura RSX in the Street Smart 1-600 class, and world champion team member Rick Nichols competes a silver 2003 Nissan Altima in the Street Expert (Street-X) class. Brett Nelker competes a red Nissan 240SX SE, and finished fourth in the Pro Street 1-600 class, edged out of third place by virtue of his sound pressure level score.
“I am proud of each one of these gentlemen and their achievements, and am particularly excited for Dave Lechner, a DIY installer that has finally had his hard work pay off with a trophy that stands nearly two meters tall and the recognition that he deserves as an IASCA World Champion!” Dave Lechner went on to back up his first-place accomplishment with a second place finish in the USACi competition, showing the vehicle’s strength in two different formats. Likewise, Rick Nichols placed a very respectable tenth place amongst the top-25 “best of the best” International Sound Quality Championships, edging out several notable competitors.
