In a very short time, Hisense has emerged as a major player in the U.S. TV market. With success with both UST Laser TV and ULED TVs, their 2022 line-up continues with technology upgrades to provide consumers with the best possible performance within specific price ranges.

Note: All 2022 Hisense TVs include “H” at the end of the model name. 2021 models are labeled “G”.

The U9H Series rests on the top of the Hisense 4K UHD TV line. Some of the key features include the following.

Mini LED backlighting: This upgrade supports improved HDR performance with more precise control of brightness, color, and contrast.

Faster Processor: The U9H series delivers faster, smoother performance and responsiveness, while the 120Hz native refresh rate provides a foundation for smooth clarity and motion handling.

Brightness: The U9H reaches 2,000 nits of peak brightness and features more than 1,280 full-array local dimming zones.

Quantum Dot: The inclusion of Quantum Dot technology for improved color quality.

HDR: Dolby Vision® and Dolby Vision IQ™ support more precise highlights, a wide range of colors, detail, and an overall lifelike 4K picture with improved depth, detail, and realism.

Gaming: Inclusion of the latest gaming features that offer a tear-free, stutter-free, and low latency HDR gaming experience. This includes Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Game Mode Pro, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and FreeSync via the ultra-high-speed HDMI ports that deliver elevated gaming performance.

Additional Features

NextGen TV/ATSC 3.0 tuner is built-in to be compatible with the upgraded digital TV broadcasting system that is being implemented.

In 2021, the U8 Series was one of Hisense’s most highly praised TVs for the price as well as being one of the most popular among consumers. The 2022 U8H series includes lots of features despite being a step down from the U9H series.

  • Similar to the UH9, Mini LED backlighting and a Quantum Dot layer are included.
  • The U8H offers a new 75-inch screen size option for 2022.
  • With a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits,
  • Audio support includes Dolby Atmos, eARC, and WiSA-ready capability.
  • Gaming features include ultra-high-speed HDMI, auto-low-latency mode, variable refresh rate, Freesync, and our Game Mode Pro setting.
  • Just as with the U9H an integrated NextGenTV (ATSC 3.0) tuner is included.
  • Google Assistant, and “Works with Alexa” functionality make the U8H a great smart hub center.

For 2022, the U7H offers popular gaming features like Game Mode Pro – making commands from the controller almost instantaneous on the screen, recognizing gaming sequences, and automatically optimizing display settings for a top-notch experience.

The Auto Low Latency Mode and 120 Hz Variable Refresh Rate deliver smooth, fluid gameplay – giving players instant response times with minimal motion blur and halo effects.

Even though the U7H is positioned below the U8H and U9H it still offers features such as IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR 10/10+/adaptive, Quantum Dot, FreeSync, and NextGen TV ATSC 3.0 tuner.

Audio support includes Dolby Atmos, eARC, and WiSA, and a 120Hz refresh rate supports clarity and fluid motion for fast-action gaming, sports, and movies.

The main difference between the U6H and U7H is that the U6H has a 60Hz refresh rate rather than 120Hz and forgoes mini-LED backlight for less precise Full Array Local Dimming.

However, this TV still packs in more of the other features of the U7H. This TV is great for TV and movie viewers, just not as desirable for serious gaming.
