Not to be left behind by TCL in the 100+ inch TV department, Hisense just announced that its 110-inch TV – the 110UX Championship Edition – is now on sale at Best Buy for $20,000. While the 110UX was first shown at CES 2024, the Hisense 110UX Championship Edition is a limited edition model which features a unique collaboration with the NBA.
Hisense describes the 110UX Championship Edition TV as an “ultra-premium addition to Hisense’s innovative ULED X lineup” and unveiled the set at the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) headquarters in New York. The 110UX CE represents a unique collaboration between the two brands, combining Hisense’s ULED X technology with edition-specific enhancements that celebrate the spirit of NBA champions.
Featuring high peak brightness, precise dimming control, and immersive audio, the 110UX Championship Edition is said to “redefine home entertainment and deliver an unparalleled viewing experience.” It also comes with exclusive NBA-inspired memorabilia and design elements that are sure to please diehard basketball fans.
“Partnering with the NBA has allowed Hisense to connect with fans in a powerful way,” said David Gold, President of Hisense Americas and Hisense USA. “The 110UX delivers an experience unlike anything else on the market and embodies the championship spirit of the game as well as the passion of basketball fans world over. With its unmatched brightness, color accuracy, and immersive design, this TV stands as the best performing Mini-LED available—a true champion in its class.”
“For NBA fans, the 110UX Championship Edition brings the thrill of the game to life, offering an immersive viewing experience that captures every dunk, pass, and buzzer-beater in stunning detail. It’s more than just a TV; it’s a courtside seat to the action, with features that turn every living room into a personal arena.”
So What’s So Special About the 110UX Championship Edition?
The Hisense 110UX Championship Edition offers exclusive NBA-themed enhancements that celebrate the sport of basketball. Each TV comes with a specially curated inside-the-box experience featuring collectible items that capture the spirit of NBA champions, including a membership for the buyer to the exclusive Hisense “Club 100” with added benefits, and a plaque denoting the unit number of each limited-edition TV.
Buyers also receiver a copy of the book “Victory,” created by Victor Solomon. This features the story and symbols behind the NBA’s trophy program. The 110UX also sports a custom NBA-themed start-up screen and platinum “NBA Championship Edition” bezel inscription, to enhance its premium appeal. Of course, the 110UX also seamlessly integrates with NBA League Pass via the NBA App, bringing live games and exclusive content to life on the big screen.
For those who care about picture quality (hello, everyone!), the Hisense 110UX Championship Edition is said to deliver peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits thanks to Mini-LED backlighting with over 40,000 individually controlled backlight zones. The 110UX also features Quantum Dot color technology for accurate, saturated colors. The panel’s native refresh rate is 144 Hz which should make it a great choice for next gen console and PC gaming.
For HDR (High Dynamic Range), the 110UX supports Dolby Vision (including Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Vision Gaming), HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+Adaptive and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). The set is IMAX Enhanced Certified and features Dolby Atmos processing on board as well as DTS Virtual X. There’s also an ATSC 3.0 “NextGen TV” on board so you can receive those free local broadcasts at up to 4K resolution with HDR and Dolby Atmos sound.
The 110UX features the latest version of Hisense’s Hi-View Engine X video processing chipset, complete with AI-enhanced contrast, depth, and detail enhancement. The set also features the company’s CineStage X Surround and a built-in 4.2.2 channel audio system for immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound right out of the box. The set is built on the Google TV platform for access to all the top streaming services and smart home integration.
The Hisense 110-inch 110UX Championship Edition is currently available to order from Best Buy for $20,000. At this price, one would expect free shipping but you also get free in-home installation. Just make sure the Geek Squad guys find those studs if they plan to mount it on the wall.
The Bottom Line
With TCL’s 115-inch U851G already on the market for $20,000, is there room for a slightly smaller Hisense TV with similar specs and performance at the same price point? Basketball fans will likely appreciate the exclusive goodies in the Hisense UX110 Championship Edition while football fans might prefer TCL’s strong ties to the NFL. No matter which sport or team you prefer, either TV will undoubtedly provide an immersive viewing experience at home, for movies, TV shows or sporting events, if you’ve got the scratch.
