DWIN INTRODUCES THE WORLD’S FIRST DUAL DISPLAY PROCESSOR
Multi-Display Configuration Streamlines Home Theater Installations

Burbank, CA: DWIN Electronics, Inc. today introduces the new DuoVision, the world’s first dual display processor that provides full digital connectivity to DWIN’s TransVision 3, a 720p DLP projector and PlasmaImage HD-50, a 50-inch high-definition plasma display.

The new system will be introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8 – 11, 2004, Booth 18811 in the Home Theater/Home Systems exhibit area (South Hall 1).

The DuoVision dual display processor was specifically developed in response to consumer and installer demand for greater convenience and flexibility in home theater installations.

The DuoVision provides true high-definition and stunning, film-like images. Movie theater realism is achieved with DWIN’s acclaimed video signal processing:

• Deep black levels and natural color reproduction are secured with precision grayscale settings and optimal gamma selection;
• Motion artifacts are virtually eliminated with DWIN’s Adaptive Film Mode Processing algorithm;and
• Picture depth is increased with Signal Dynamic Range Expansion circuitry.

The DuoVision accepts 10 video inputs from virtually all analog and digital video sources, identifies the display type and delivers DVI signals with matching native resolution to each display. The signals are delivered via two proprietary DVI cables.

This enables complete digital connectivity from the source to the display, ensuring the best possible picture quality. As an added benefit, installations are correspondingly faster and less complex with proprietary DVI cables designed to easily run through a 1″ conduit.

The DuoVision’s unique design enables the processor to be conveniently located near all the video gear in one central location in the home theater, while the PlasmaImage can be mounted in any other room. The TransVision and PlasmaImage can display either the same or two different video sources.

The system is sold in several different configurations with the choice of DWIN’s DLP projectors and plasma displays.

Suggested retail price for the systems start at $22,950.
