HAI’s President Jay McLellan Elected Chairman of 2006 CEA TechHome Division Board
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has elected Jay McLellan, president of Home Automation, Inc. (HAI) as chairman of the 2006 TechHome Division Board. The board’s role is to provide guidance with regard to benefits, services and initiatives for integrators as well as a forum for discussing business issues. The election also places McLellan on the CEA Executive Board. David Epstein of Sound Solutions was elected as vice-chair of the TechHome Division Board.
“TechHome is the voice of the professional community that brings us innovative new products like home theater, home networking and home automation — all to the delight, comfort and convenience of homeowners nationwide,” says McLellan. “Our major goals for 2006 and beyond are educational programs to bring more technicians to the business, advocacy for consistent state and federal approaches to the trade and membership growth. David and I are honored to lead the TechHome Division, which has a superb Board and tremendous support from CEA staff.”
“Jay will make a wonderful chairman for the TechHome Division capitalizing on his leadership role at Home Automation, Inc. and his experience and leadership as the vice chairman of the TechHome Division for the past two years,” says John Tunnell, CEA’s director of member programs.
