HAI Honored with Five 2009 Mark of Excellence Awards

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced that Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), the leading manufacturer of integrated automation and security products since 1985, has won five 2009 Mark of Excellence Awards, presented by CEA’s TechHome Division.

CEA’s Mark of Excellence Awards honored HAI:

  • Best Training and Support Program (Platinum): Factory Training Program.
  • Best Security Product (Platinum): OmniPro II with 3.0 Firmware for use with Access Control.
  • Best Structured Wiring Product (Platinum): Network Digital Video Recorder.
  • Best Software Application (Platinum): WL3 for Windows Home Server.
  • Best Green Product, Service, or Corporate Policy (Gold): Omnistat2 Thermostat.

These awards recognize HAI’s outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home electronics. Award entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and submitted in two categories: Supplier and Systems Integrators.

“Winning a coveted Mark of Excellence award is commendable, but winning five in one year is exceptional!” said HAI President, Jay McLellan. “As a further testament to HAI’s products, several HAI Dealers won in the Systems Integrators category, including Advanced Technologies of Baton Rouge, LA (two awards), Future Smart Homes Today of Plymouth, MA, and SmartHouse Integration of Sarasota, FL. We are very proud that our dealers won these prestigious awards utilizing a variety of HAI products and solutions.”

HAI was recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Dinner in conjunction with the tenth annual Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2009.

Each year manufacturers, distributors and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor. Each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards categories has a four-member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press and industry consultants to determine both finalists and winners.
