Goldmund Unveils Pulp + Hub Set Wireless Speaker System

At $17,000/pair, the Goldmund Pulp are luxury wireless speakers designed to look like a modern work of art.

Goldmund Pulp Wireless Speakers with TV

Considering its rather unique design history, Goldmund’s Pulp + Hub wireless speaker system feels somewhat conservative in its styling. However, there is nothing conservative about its pricing. This latest iteration of its acclaimed Pulp wireless lifestyle speakers, designed by Cécile Barani, introduces new features, and enhanced connectivity options.

WiSA

The main feature of the Pulp + Hub set is WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Audio) technology, which supports high-resolution wireless music streaming

The new WiSA Hub developed by Goldmund seamlessly connects the active Pulp speakers, enabling superior audio quality and opening up new possibilities for immersive sound experiences. The WiSA Hub also acts as the central control for the system, linking Pulp speakers to various sources effortlessly, including laptops, smartphones, and TVs.

Connect your sources to the Hub, and it will wirelessly transmit the audio to the speakers using WiSA technology.

Tip: USB is provided for control-only functions.

The WiSA protocol supports up to 32 audio channels and 24-bit/96kHz digital playback.

For users who like the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity, the Goldmund WiSA Hub is also equipped with the latest Bluetooth aptX HD technology and chipset. Users can enjoy wireless audio streaming from Bluetooth sources (such as smartphones).

For wired setup, the hub includes HDMI (for connection to a TV) and both digital coaxial and optical connections.

Design Highlights

Continuing the cylindrical aluminum design, the Pulp + Hub Set combines elegance with advanced engineering. Drawing inspiration from Goldmund’s legendary Apologue speaker, its designer, Cécile Barani, ingeniously integrates Goldmund’s design heritage into the Pulp. Its circular shape pays homage to the Apologue’s iconic wheels, blending historical design elements into a forward-looking audio journey.

The Pulp speakers are suitable for bookshelf usage without needing a stand or can be elevated with a custom accessory stand (sold separately) for a floor-standing display.

Despite its small size, the Pulp is designed to deliver a rather robust and spacious listening experience. Each Pulp speaker incorporates a 5-inch woofer, soft dome tweeter, and 2 x 175-watt Telos amplifier. Frequency response is rated from 43Hz to 25kHz.
