PETALUMA, Calif. — July 30, 2007 — Furman Sound/Panamax, a world-leading provider of power management solutions, today announced that the Furman Elite-15 PF i was chosen by Electronic House magazine as one of its Products of the Year for 2007.
The Electronic House Products of the Year were chosen by the editors of EH Publishing’s four magazines that are dedicated to the electronic house. Their decisions were based on reviews that ran throughout the year, product demos, and talking with the installers and users of the products. New products were judged on technological innovation, overall value, and outstanding features.
The recipients of the 2007 Product of the Year awards will be honored at a special breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 8 a.m. at the Denver City Center Marriott in Denver, Colo.
“It is an honor to have our Elite-15 PF i recognized by Electronic House as a Product of the Year, and we are proud of both the award and what our product brings to consumers,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Furman and Panamax. “When employing the Elite-15 PF i, consumers will immediately notice far clearer, stunningly focused sound and visual images from their system. Video presentation will be crisp and colors true with greater gray- and black-scale definition, as well as noticeably improved depth and clarity.”
The Elite-15 PF i power conditioner offers a bold yet elegant new design that features smooth contours of black steel with clear blue LED lights. At the center of the Elite-15 PF i is Furman’s unique Power Factor Technology, which provides connected equipment with a highly filtered, extremely low-impedance supply of AC power (over 3 amps of continuous current reserve, 45 amps peak charge) for extreme peak power demands. This technology enables power amplifiers and powered subwoofers to operate at maximum efficiency, reaching levels of performance previously unattainable.
The new conditioner also features Furman’s proprietary Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus (SMP+) technology, which combines three filtering and protection circuits: Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT) suppresses noise dramatically and consistently across the entire dynamic range; Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) clamps and dissipates damaging transient voltages at the highest degree available without sacrificing itself; and Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) circuitry protects against prolonged overvoltages by shutting off the incoming power until the overvoltage condition is corrected.
The Elite-15 PF i is currently available at a suggested retail price of $599.
