Furman today announced that its F1500-UPS battery back-up system was recognized with a Custom Retailer Exc!te Award at CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta. For home theater systems, the innovative solution combines power management features such as linear filtration and surge protection with battery back-up, in addition to compatibility with BlueBOLT technology for remote management.
The Exc!te award, presented by Custom Retailer Magazine, pays tribute to products that stand out for being innovative, high-performing solutions oriented for the custom installation professional. The winners were selected from over 450 nominations received and judged by the magazine’s editorial staff.
“We are delighted that our F1500-UPS has been recognized with this prestigious award,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax/Furman. “Beyond providing battery back-up, the unit offers power management features to protect sensitive components and optimize their performance for a stunning home theater experience. In addition, the unit is the first to be compatible with our exciting new BlueBOLT technology, the most advanced remote management technology to date.”
The F1500-UPS features Furman’s SMP/LiFT/EVS Technologies for professional-level protection and linear AC noise filtration. The unit provides 1500VA of back-up with true sine wave output (expandable with an external battery pack, sold separately), AVR voltage regulation, an RS-232 interface, IR control for safe shutdown of remote equipment, and critical load management. Remote or local IP control is an available option for the F1500-UPS through BlueBOLT technology, which allows the unit to be managed either remotely or integrated into a home network. BlueBOLT technology is provided via a separate add-on card (BlueBOLT-CV1), available 2010.
The F1500-UPS is available now at an MSRP of $1,299.95.
