It also uses the same video-processing power–one trillion operations per second–as the $60k Teranex Xantus platform, which is widely used in Hollywood’s postproduction and television broadcast markets. In addition to its flagship video processing, Realta delivers advanced image scaling by using the world’s first 1024-tap adaptive scaler. HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) processing is a no-compromise video-processing solution designed for the most demanding digital cinema applications.

The Realta HQV video engine has received numerous awards and accolades, including the “Best of Innovations” award for the Embedded Technologies category at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show, “Most Promising New Technology” and “Most Exciting New Company” from The Perfect Vision, “Best Buzz of CEDIA” from Insight Media, AVGuide Monthly’s “Best Product Overall,” Red Herring’s “Top 100 Innovators” award, Fred Kahn’s “Silver Best of CES” award, “Best Picture of the Show” at the Home Entertainment 2005 Show from Tom Norton of UltimateAVmag.com, and, most recently, the “Five-Star DisplayMate Best Video Hardware” award from DisplayMate Technologies.
