Emenda Joins Forces With Protecode

Emenda, the European software testing tools and services provider, today announced a partnership with Protecode Inc., the Canadian-based innovator of Intellectual Property (IP) management solutions for software projects incorporating open source and third party code.

With increasing pressure to improve productivity and efficiency, developers often rely on existing code in software projects. However, any product using pre-existing code may infringe on the IP licenses and the copyrights of the person or organization that originally developed that code. Protecode’s range of solutions allows organizations to properly manage their software IP and legal obligations. Through one-time, periodic or continuous real-time software IP governance, Protecode’s solutions detect, identify, record and report on all the IP and copyright attributes of any software repository. This removes the need for developers to interpret the complexities of software licensing.

With its strong customer base and expertise in the software development industry, Emenda will distribute and provide support for Protecode throughout Europe. As a solution aimed at speeding up the software development process, Protecode will complement the software testing tools already in the Emenda product portfolio, which includes Klocwork Insight, Cantata++, Lattix, Codenomicon Defensics and Electric Cloud.
