ELAN Home Systems Announces Tech Week, the Industrys Most Technically Intense Manufacturers Training Program

Company Gears up for New “Tech Week” Event, Adding to ELAN’s Unmatched Deep Dealer Programs and to Continue to Push Knowledge Envelope

Lexington, KY — ELAN Home Systems, a leading manufacturer of award-winning Multi-Room audio/video and home automation systems, announced today that the company will host its inaugural ELAN Tech Week from May 14 through 18, 2006. Tech Week will be the industry’s most intensive technical training event specifically designed and produced for ELAN Technicians, Installers, and Programmers. Starting this year, the newly established ELAN Tech Week will alternate annually with the company’s phenomenally popular and completely unmatched TRIO Dealer Summit, in order to provide Technical Dealers with even more hands-on training time. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, ELAN’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Scheduled to take place at the Marriot Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, ELAN Tech Week registration is now open to all authorized ELAN Dealers and Distributors, and over half the seats are already taken. This program will bring together more than 200 of the country’s top ELAN Technicians/Installers who will further hone their skills and knowledge through hands-on participation and intensive classroom ELAN training. Tech Week will also allow Technicians/Installers to share product and installation knowledge through a variety of educational and informative forums and activities.

“We are very excited to build on our TRIO Summit by presenting yet another completely new program for our valued Installers,” said Mr. Starkey. “With the success of TRIO, it became clear that our Installers were interested in hands-on training programs that offered even more curriculum customized toward their individual skill levels. As a result, Tech Week has been produced to meet all of their individual needs and to continue to provide all of our Dealers with as many tools as possible to ensure ongoing success.”

Tech Week adds to ELAN’s broad spectrum of industry-benchmark training offerings. Dealers may choose exactly what is best for them from a wide array of multi-faceted options including ELAN University, weekly national in-field trainings, trade show trainings, distribution trainings, ELAN’s regular twice-monthly headquarter trainings, TRIO and now Tech Week. These options combined, create a training lineup unlike any other specialty company in the business has to offer. Additionally, all programs offer certification, so that Dealers have the means to be the best they can be with ELAN.

Tech Week will be customized to provide three different levels of hands-on and classroom training. Each level will feature separate key points of focus pertaining to the individual attendee’s experience level to help optimize learning for all. Attendees may select from two- and three-day packages, to best accommodate their company’s schedules. Dealers will also have the unique opportunity to preview ELAN’s newest products and provide feedback on them, as well as direct access to participating VIP partners and the entire ELAN team.

Cat Fowler, ELAN’s Vice President of Marketing and Technical Services, added, “ELAN’s Tech Week takes training for Specialty Dealers to a whole new level. This is an unprecedented, intense week of training that will allow attendees to advance their learning as much as they need to at one time, while providing a very unique opportunity to spend time with us and build even closer relationships with the ELAN team. For this event, our team is working around the clock to offer deep course content for our Dealers — and we are confident that they will return home saying Tech Week was unlike anything they have ever attended before.”

Tech Week is an ideal opportunity for ELAN Technician/Installers to learn from each other, participate in focused forums, establish new and deeper relationships and communicate directly with ELAN development personnel. Other highlights will include evening networking receptions, one-on-one meetings with ELAN staff and fun events.

Registration is now open for ELAN Tech Week and is limited to 200 attendees, on a first-come, first-serve basis, with 140 seats already taken. Tech Week participation fees vary, with two or three day packages ranging from $599 to $789 including hotel accommodations and from $199 to $249 with out hotel accommodations. The fee includes all Tech Week seminars and activities and most meals (based on specific days attending).
