ELAN Takes Dealer Care and Technical Services Even Further With Significant Promotions
LEXINGTON, KY — ELAN Home Systems, a leading manufacturer of award-winning Multi-Room audio/video and home automation systems, today announced the promotions of David Banks to Customer Service Manager and Matt Shipman to Tech Support Supervisor. Mr. Banks and Mr. Shipman have each been integral to the development of the company’s Dealer-Customer relationships since first joining ELAN. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, ELAN’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
A former member of ELAN’s Engineering Team, David Banks possesses strong technical, product and cross-team communications talents which he will now apply toward his Customer Service Manager duties. Mr. Banks’ experience as an Applications Engineer for ELAN has provided him with the team player attributes and energy he will need in overseeing the Tech Support group and in working closely with Engineering and Quality Control as well as the company’s Sales, Marketing, Training and Repair teams. As ELAN’s new Customer Service Manager, Mr. Banks will be responsible for overseeing and further strengthening ELAN’s world-class Dealer support, and will report to Cat Fowler, ELAN’s Vice President of Marketing and Technical / Customer Services.
“Since day one David has taken great ownership and interest in our Dealers and customers, reaching out beyond his job to get involved. He also possesses all of the technical qualities and managerial skills to excel in this position. We see this as the perfect fit to take our support team to the next level and further expand our deep Dealer relations and offerings,” stated Mr. Starkey.
Matt Shipman, ELAN’s newly appointed Tech Support Supervisor, worked his way up through the company’s ranks as a Tech Support Specialist, where he has been a familiar and confidant voice to ELAN Dealers and Installers when helping with troubleshooting and technical assistance. Shipman brings an extreme depth of technical knowledge to his Supervisor position and will be responsible overseeing for all Tech Support day-to-day operations and associated team scheduling, paperwork, customer satisfaction surveys and reporting.
