The retro vibes are strong with this one. ELAC has announced a partnership with the Brooklyn-based fashion label ADSUM. The first result of this partnership is the creation of a special edition version of the ELAC Debut ConneX powered bookshelf speakers.
ELAC’s Fresh Look
This collaboration combines the Debut ConneX with a blend of minimalist design while retaining its established audio performance features. These bookshelf speakers offer a soundbar’s straightforward functionality and convenience while delivering the superior sound quality and visual appeal expected from top-tier separate powered speakers.
From Joe Riggi, CEO of ELAC Americas Inc.: “ELAC and ADSUM’s partnership melds advanced audio engineering with urban streetwear aesthetics, setting new standards for style and acoustics,…“
The collaboration between Adsum and ELAC goes beyond cosmetic changes; it represents a comprehensive redesign. Adsum contributed an exclusive tubular metal stand and magnetic detachable grilles. The design overhaul also features a modernized cabinet with squared-off edges, freshly painted cabinets, and a new remote control, complemented by custom-colored cables to complete the distinctive look.
The Debut ConneX speakers are designed to be the perfect audio companion for the space-conscious city dweller. Its abundant inputs make it adaptable for everything from cinematic viewing and video gaming to DJing and hosting last-minute gatherings. The speakers are compact enough to blend into any space, yet powerful enough to fill an apartment with neighbor-rousing sound – the ideal speaker set for the city lifestyle.

The audio signals needed for the passive (secondary) speaker are transferred from the primary speaker via traditional speaker terminals and wire.

This seems like a smartly designed product having the right combination of features and connectivity options. Add a Wiim Mini and you’ve got a nice-looking small system.

I have a genuine question: Can one easily remove the two logos from the speaker grilles?
