Redesigned Audio Circuitry Puts The Focus Back on Music
FUJITSU TEN LIMITED, manufacturer of leading automotive electronics, announced the latest additions to its popular ECLIPSE brand for in-car entertainment. The CD5030 puts the focus squarely on music, incorporating new developments and refined technologies to provide a very high level of audio performance for enhanced sound quality. Following the award-winning audiophile CD7200 mkII unit introduced last year, the new products continue the ECLIPSE brand’s commitment to creating the best-sounding head units, as music continues to be the main source of in-car enjoyment for many consumers.
The CD5030 is a multi-source receiver that is designed to maximize the potential of any music library, whether it is CD-based, on an iPod or other USB device. The unit produces 50W of output into 4 channels from MOSFET power amplification and a 5V preamp output to ensure the best dynamics with the least noise when used with any additional power amplifier.
Its sleek design contains advanced audio features such as auto time alignment for speakers, which can also be manually tweaked, a 7-band parametric equalizer that allows each of the different music sources to be heard to the best advantage and flexible crossover settings for the speaker system used. An Auto EQ function used with a microphone in the desired listening position automatically adjusts for flat frequency response.
Bluetooth wireless technology is built-in as standard (handsfree, A2DP). The CD5030 connects directly with an iPod via dedicated cable so functions such as search can be operated and viewed on the CD50530’s OEL display. The CD5030 additionally connects to ECLIPSE’s optional SIRIUS and XM tuners and HD Radio tuner (with iTunes Tagging) as well as dedicated CD changers. The front panel is detachable for security and ECLIPSE’s popular ESN anti-theft feature is included.
“Audio consumers that appreciate the enjoyment that only a perfectly installed and tuned system can provide will demand the CD5030. It delivers all of the great functionality and performance that discriminating users expect, combined with the ability to be precision tuned automatically to sound perfect in any vehicle. Specialty retailers can utilize the CD5030 to provide their customers with sound quality results that are found nowhere else,” said Michael West, Marketing Director of ECLIPSE.
The CD5030 is scheduled to go on sale in January 2009. Suggested MSRP is $300.
