Dual Electronics announced yet another benchmark in convenience, performance and value for the mobile entertainment market with its new multimedia head unit, the XDVD9101. This powerful multimedia entertainment center brings together all of today’s favorite music and video sources, allowing drivers to enjoy them through a friendly, easy-to-operate user interface and generous 7-inch LCD screen.

The XDVD9101 ($529.99) carries the “Made For iPod” designation, which signifies the highest level of compatibility with iPod’s of all kinds. The XDVD9101 features a direct plug-in, high-speed USB connection on the front panel that not only allows for charge and control of an iPod, but USB flash drives and memory card readers as well. This connection displays song, title and artist information on the bright 7-inch TFT LCD screen, with high-speed browsing and search functions with touch-screen convenience. Navigating through the iPod’s huge capacity is more convenient and road-safe than ever. A 3.5mm front panel A/V input jack is also provided for iPod audio and other types of portable media players.
The XDVD9101’s LCD touchscreen also presents DVDs and recordable DVDs; (including Dual Layer) with exceptionally crisp video output. (The unit also plays CD and CD-R/ CD-RW discs.) All ID3 tags for MP3/WMA files appear bright and clear on the display.
Clean amplification for almost any size vehicle is provided to the tune of 200 watts (50 Watts x 4). Connectivity for an additional audio/video input is provided through front RCA jacks. Also included are an optional composite video output and a rear camera input for rear safety assistance.
An iPod cable and 3.5mm to RCA A/V cable are also included.
The Dual XDVD9101 will begin shipping 1st Qtr. 2009.
