Dual Electronics MXCP66 Marine Head Unit Announced

MXCP66 Head Unit Offers Easy iPod Connection And Recharging

Dual Electronics today announced a new marine audio head unit, the MXCP66, that gives boaters the same musical freedom that they enjoy while driving or while jogging, thanks to easy integration with iPods and other personal audio electronics.

“Today’s listeners expect to have their music everywhere, and their leisure craft shouldn’t be an exception, says Robb Groner, Vice President of Product Development, Dual Electronics Corp. “Dual’s new MXCP66 delivers the convenience they expect by letting them easily connect their own music collections, plus the performance associated with the famous Dual sound.”

Finished with elegant white cosmetics, the MXCP66 (PRICE) is a complete digital audio station for marine environments, including a pair of 6.5″ corrosion resistant speakers. A front-panel 3.5″ stereo input jack accepts music from any iPod or portable MP3 player, while a front-panel, full-speed USB connection (12 mbps) charges the player, or a cell phone, or most any USB device. The USB slot is also capable of playing MP3 or WMA audio files from most mass storage devices, such as flash drives; hours and hours of non-stop music can be brought shipside in a pocket or purse.

The MXCP66 also features exceptionally versatile disc playback for marine environments, and can play CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs, either with standard audio or MP3 or WMA files. ID tags for both MP3 and WMA files are supported for convenient song and artist information. The MXCP66’s tuner has spacing for both US and European frequencies, and can store 30 favorite stations, with an automatic station storing feature. Convenient pre-set scanning and one touch station memory lets the captain concentrate on the sea waves, rather than the airwaves, while audio is rendered faithfully by an advanced 1-bit D/A converter and four clean channels with 200 watts of power.

As always, Dual’s marine models provide features, functionality and performance that exceed expectations and provide superior value at every price point.
