Draper, Inc., offers the ability to control projection screens via RS232 and IP.
In addition to RS232 capability, Draper’s MC1 has an interface for dry contact closure. Ideal for Home Automation Integration, the programmable MC1 also allows the use of infrared remote control and other input devices to control the screen — and the input devices can be easily changed at any time to suit a customer’s changing needs or new technologies, and without any rewiring.
“This control concept has been extremely popular with our window shade customers,” according to Draper Home Theatre Sales Manager Bob Hadsell. “The programmable MC1 is so versatile, it opens up our screens to serial control by RS232, and also to network communication.”
