Anevia, French designer of the Flamingo DVB-to-IP Gateways and the Toucan VOD/nPVR servers, and DirectStreams, the IP Technology Services provider dedicated to the hospitality industry, today announced the deployment of their solutions in City Inn hotels.
In each bedroom, an iMac with LCD screen gives access to TV, as well as to Internet and music. As TV head end, Anevia Flamingo gateways provide the reception and streaming of TV and radio over the hotel IP network. The 39 TV and 24 radio are DTT (Freeview), satellite free-to-air and satellite (Sky) channels. The whole IP Service was designed by DirectStreams.
City Inn, an independent brand of modern and stylish city centre hotels in the UK, is the first hotel group to deploy a TV service based on iMac.
“We are very happy to be chosen as head end provider for one of the first Apple-based IPTV service. This successful deployment highlights Anevia’s capacity for innovative projects,” said Damien Lucas, Anevia’s Co-Founder.
DirectStreams solutions and Anevia DVB to IP gateways are showcased in DirectStream’s Paris showroom. After this successful deployment, other hotels will implement this IPTV service.
