Miramar, FL–December 2007– SIM2, the Italian manufacturer whose striking high-performance HD home-theater projectors are known worldwide for their unmatched video quality and dramatic designs, is pleased to announce that, last week in New York City, legendary Hollywood filmmaker, painter, composer, and performance artist David Lynch participated as a special guest – via video conference – in the launch event for SIM2’s new Grand Cinema C3X 1080 projector.
Three-time Academy Award for Best Director nominee and winner at the Cannes and Venice Film festivals, Mr. Lynch is not just a SIM2 fan, he actually owns a SIM2 projector. He selected SIM2 for his personal production studio in which he edits all his projects. “I am a perfectionist, and when I was searching for a projector for my studio, I tested many brands. SIM2 beat them all by many, many miles,” Lynch said.
During the event, Mr. Lynch spoke briefly about his experience with his SIM2 projector, and answered questions from the audience. When asked about the importance of digital theater, he replied, “There is no more film. Digital is the future of cinema, and it’s better in every way.” Speaking of the new C3X 1080 projector, he added, “This SIM2 three-chip projector is beautiful, and its image looks pristine on the screen.”
SIM2 was honored to receive the endorsement from such a famous Director for the quality of its video products.
We thank Mr. Lynch for taking the time to participate to our event.
