— All Sales and Installation Staff Must Complete a Comprehensive Certification Course in Order to Sell the AVR-5805–
Pine Brook, NJ, January 31, 2005 — Denon Electronics, a world leader in high-performance audio/video components, today announced a Sales and Installation Certification Program for its breakthrough AVR-5805 audio/video receiver. Program guidelines mandate that all sales and installation staff must complete a comprehensive certification course by June 15, 2005 as a prerequisite to selling the AVR-5805.
The course, the first program in an ongoing series that Denon is initiating for its high-end components, will include training in all aspects of the AVR-5805’s unprecedented multi-zone distribution capabilities and more, including application solutions, installation, set-up and troubleshooting.
Denon Marketing Manager Jeff Talmadge noted, “The AVR-5805 represents a brand new chapter in the evolution of high-performance distributed home entertainment and we want to make sure all its benefits are fully understood by everyone who merchandises it. Salespeople and installers who go through our certification program will have a complete understanding of what this incredible component can do, and how they can use it to help their customers enjoy the finest quality audio and video in multi-zones throughout the home. The complexities and advanced technologies included in a product like the AVR-5805 make a certification program necessary.”
About the AVR-5805
The AVR-5805 is a fully configurable multi-zone audio/video distribution solution with 22 channels of output and 10 fully assignable amplifiers that can be configured in a numerous array of options including dual 7.1 home theaters. * However, if desired, the AVR-5805 also allows users/custom installers to take advantage of the unprecedented four-zone home entertainment experience from a single component.
In addition to the flexibility of multi-zone systems, the AVR-5805 includes a full array of “custom installation” features; such as assignable high output (250mA) DC triggers and a RS-232C port for control systems.
As part of the Certification Program, Denon will demonstrate the correct setup of Audyssey’s MultEQ room correction feature that is included in the AVR-5805. MultEQ corrects for flaws in speaker and room design and provides up to eight “sweet spots” for surround sound listening.
Additionally all current analog and digital audio and video interfaces with full multi-zone switching capability are provided to facilitate integration with any system design. Finally, thanks to its built-in Ethernet port, the receiver offers full PC and TCP/IP control interface, as well as future upgrade capabilities such as streaming Internet radio by BridgeCo.
The Denon AVR-5805 is currently available for a suggested retail price of $6,000.
* Additional amplifiers necessary for dual 7.1 home theaters.
