Features HDMI, Bluetooth Connectivity and True 5.1-Channel Surround Processing with Wireless Subwoofer
Definitive Technology today introduced the SoloCinema Studio active sound bar , which provides a shallow depth to match slim TVs, sleek appearance, premium fit and finish, effortless installation and superior sound. While the market is dominated by two and three-channel sound bars that create a less immersive surround experience, SoloCinema Studio features five discrete channels, high performance speaker elements for each channel and 120 watts of power complemented by a 200-watt wireless subwoofer.
SoloCinema Studio’s audio feature package differentiates by offering convenient, high performance HDMI inputs, Bluetooth wireless audio, as well as true 5.1-channel DTS and Dolby surround processing. Definitive’s proprietary Spatial Array technology frees sonic images from the enclosure to envelope the listener in a totally immersive spatial sphere of life-like sound – from a single convenient speaker.
Bluetooth Wireless Audio with NFC
Listeners with Bluetooth-enabled smart devices such as smart phones, tablets and laptop PCs can access a vast array of music–wirelessly. Simply pair the device to SoloCinema Studio to wirelessly stream music files stored on the device, any subscription music streaming service, podcasts, cloud-stored audio content and more. If a smart device can get to it, SoloCinema Studio will play it with fantastic audio fidelity.
Bluetooth devices equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) such as those with Android and Blackberry operating systems are especially easy to pair with SoloCinema Studio simply touching the unit to the sound bar. Non-NFC Bluetooth devices are paired via a convenient on-screen display. Best of all, SoloCinema gets near-CD sound quality from Bluetooth streams by supporting aptX and AAC codecs.
Design Features Even Interior Designers Will Love
Other than power cords, minimal wires are required: only connectors from the sound bar to the TV and DVD/Blu-ray player. The subwoofer is linked to the surround bar wirelessly with no pairing procedures required. Additionally, Definitive Technology provides hardware (feet and brackets) so the sound bar can be placed in one of three places: on a shelf under the flat screen, raised above a protruding TV table stand, or mounted on a wall.
The wireless subwoofer is compact yet packs a potent sonic punch via its downward firing 8-inch woofer, bass port and robust 200 Watt amplifier.
Easy to Use, Even in the Dark
Definitive Technology designers created a simple remote that features control buttons that are concave and convex so users can easily navigate functions in the dark without turning on the lights. The remote also includes pre-set surround parameters for optimal movie and music. Bass and center level controls allow the listener to adjust bass and dialog volume on the fly to suit the program material.
