ROCKLEIGH, NEW JERSEY — CE Pro and EH Publishing recently announced the 2008 CE Pro High-Impact Product (CHIP) of the Year Awards at EHX Fall in Long Beach, California. The latest Crestron touchpanel, the wireless Isys TPS-6X, was among the honored products. Winners were chosen by custom residential integrators and readers of CE Pro.
CE Pro Editor-In-Chief, Jason Knott announced the winners at this year’s awards presentation. “The CHIPs are unlike any other awards in the industry,” said Knott. “The winners are exclusively nominated, and then voted on, by integrators. The winners really do represent the best among the rank-and-file of custom installation.”
High-Impact Products were judged on criteria such as helping dealers open a previously “untapped” market segment, boosting integrators’ efficiency by making installations faster and simpler, or increasing custom installers’ profitability by offering a solid margin. Products are recognized in categories that include audio, video, control/automation, power management, digital phone systems and screens.
The TPS-6X is the next generation of touchpanels, designed as a wired Ethernet tabletop and a long-range 2-way RF wireless controller. Offering extreme speed, versatility and reliability, the TPS-6X is sleek, contoured and lightweight. Docked, TPS-6X displays full-motion video in a scalable window, undocked it instantly switches to RF without the hassles of WiFi.
The 2008 CHIP Award for the TPS-6X follows the 2007 “Innovator of the Year” Award Crestron won at EHX Fall last year.
