CoNEXTion Systems, Inc. introduces the sonoma series- a unique indoor/outdoor line of speakers…featuring SFPC Bass Extension System

Simi Valley – coNEXTion Systems introduces the first two models of the sonoma Indoor/ Outdoor Speaker Series. “While developing our sonoma Series of outdoor speakers, we found that many of the competitive designs were more difficult to install than they needed to be, had the potential of being stolen, and didn’t offer the acoustic performance that they should”, coNEXTion President Doug Wright commented.

The sonoma line features an all-in-one speaker and installation bracket design that’s ready to install right out of the box. No more disassemble and reassemble hassles, and no more trying to thread knobs on the bracket while holding the speaker and standing on a ladder! They also feature a more convenient lever-controlled angling mechanism, providing up 40° of adjustment.

The most important feature of the sonoma Series is the SFPC (Side Firing Pneumatic Coupled) bass extension system, which is the world’s first design that adds two passive radiators per driver molded into the speaker cabinet. This provides exceptional bass response from a small volume cabinet and eliminates any risk of moisture damage to the speaker.

The cabinet is molded from glass filled structural nylon 6/6 for the best acoustically inert cabinet on the market today, to achieve “MDF” type performance from a weather resistant enclosure.

The sonoma speaker design uses attractive “end-caps” that hide the four pre-threaded installation screws and the speaker connectors for a more theft resistant installation. The
speaker’s sleek low profile blends easily in all environments.

The sonoma ten features an all aluminum two-way design with a single 5.25″ woofer and a 1″ tweeter, with dual passive radiators incorporating SFPC. SRP $500/pr.

The sonoma twenty features an all aluminum single-point stereo design with a 5.25″ dual vc woofer, dual 1″ tweeters mounted in a 45°angle, and two passive radiators incorporating SFPC. SRP $325/ea.

Both models are expected to begin shipping in late March 2005. The sonoma line was previously known as elements.
