Outboard Power Amplifier Offers Clean, Powerful Performance In A Compact Half Rack Enclosure
Colorado vNet Corp. is introducing a new stereo power amplifier to complement the company's innovative lineup of easy-to-use multiroom home audio systems. The new PMA-100 gives Colorado vNet dealers a convenient option in specifying multiroom installations for larger zones that require more amplification.
Perfect for larger-sized rooms where more amplification is required, the Colorado vNet PMA-100 is a two-channel unit that lives up to its PMA moniker, which stands for “Pretty Massive Amplifier,” by offering a robust 100 watts (50 Watts per channel). The unit is easily controlled by Colorado vNet's new touchscreen models, which have a line output for power amplifier expansion.
The PMA-100 can be operated in stereo or bridged mono modes, with independent rear-panel gain control for both channels. The PMA-100 also offers a 12v trigger input and output that allows it to synchronize with other controlled actions, such as having motorized shades come down when the amplifier is turned on. Additionally, the PMA-100 can power up in slow or fast modes with variable delay time (five seconds to five minutes) so that it can be seamlessly integrated with the rest of the audio system's control configuration. A local source input and video sensor is provided for automatic switching to a local source upon sensing a video signal.
The new PMA-100 also provides flexibility in mounting options, thanks to its compact form factor: 1 rack space high and only a half rack space in width. The amplifier can be mounted in a rack or on a wall. (Wall mount brackets are included). Extremely energy efficient, the PMA-100 only uses 1/2 Watt of power in standby mode and is compliant with ErP 2013 standards.
The Colorado vNet PMA-100 will ship in the 4th Quarter of 2010.
