Cleer Audio has introduced their first wireless ANC sport earbuds for active lifestyles. The new Roam Sport have arrived for $99, which improve upon the Roam NC ($59). Although both appear to use the same custom-designed Cleer dynamic 5.8mm drivers and feature active noise cancellation, the Roam Sport come with a new charging case offering an extra 5 hours of playback time, and include multi-sized Freebit™ wings for a comfortable and secure fit.
Both are IPX4 rated for sweat and rain, and support aptX Adaptive for higher resolution Bluetooth wireless audio.
The lightweight and compact design of Roam Sport allows for lasting wear. Simply select your preferred size ear tip and Freebit wing, then twist and lock the earbud in the ear for a custom, secure fit that won’t budge no matter how intense your workout.
“The new Roam Sport is geared for the active sports and exercise enthusiasts,” says Patrick Huang, CEO/President of Cleer Audio. “It is feature-rich and works great for answering calls and enjoying your favorite podcast and music track, whether jogging or working out in the gym.”
Intuitive Touch Pad gestures lets users control music playback, volume, calls, and your phone’s voice assistant.
With the free Cleer+ app, users can customize the noise cancelling and environment sound levels for better isolation or awareness. The app also allows customization of Equalizer settings along with the ability to update the firmware. Available in the Apple App store and Google Play store.
Ambient Awareness mode lets outside noise in to allow conversations without taking the earbuds out of your ears.
Roam Sport boasts 20 hours of battery life, but that really boils down to 5 hours of playback per fully charged earbud, plus three additional recharges via its USB-C charging case.
The Cleer Audio Roam Sport True Wireless Earbuds include a carrying case with integrated charger, multi-sized Freebit wings, charging cable and user manual. Available now in a black finish for $99.99 USD.
