Circuit City Honors Metra as a Best in Class Vendor

HOLLY HILL, FL, APRIL 10, 2007: Metra Electronics has been honored as a “Best in Class” vendor, supply chain division, by Circuit City Stores, Inc., in the retailer’s fifth annual Circuit City Vendor Recognition Awards. Metra has been recognized as a “Best in Class” vendor every year since Circuit City began the awards in 2003.

The awards are split into two categories: merchandising vendor excellence and supply chain excellence. Ten vendors were chosen for the 2006 Merchandising Vendor Excellence Award. Metra is among 13 vendors honored with the 2006 Supply Chain Excellence Award. To earn the award, Metra has maintained consistent delivery performance in a flexible consumer environment, allowing for a reduction in cost of the supply chain while ensuring products are delivered as scheduled.

“We are very pleased to again be recognized by Circuit City with this award,” said Bill Lauer, Metra’s V.P. of Mass Merchandising and New Product Development. “While winning awards is always good, Metra especially values Circuit City’s Best in Class because it comes from a customer that has high standards at every level. That Metra has received this award every year it’s been presented means that we constantly honor our commitment to providing the best service and support.”

Based in Holly Hill, FL, with offices in Long Beach, CA, Metra Electronics (www.metraonline.com) is a leader in the auto sound industry as parent company of such consumer and professional installation brands as Axxess, Install Bay/Fishman, Raptor, Silencer and Tsunami, as well as the Ethereal brand of home audio/video interconnects.
