Following the recent release of its EpicX Array interconnect cable line the Chord Company has upgraded its more affordably priced Shawline analog interconnect with XLPE (Cross-linked Polythene) insulation, making it the best-performing Shawline cable yet.
The new ShawlineX ARAY is the latest in a line of handmade-in-the-UK cables from Chord Company to benefit from XLPE following in the steps of the SignatureX and EpicX ARAY interconnects earlier in 2023.
Silver-Plated Conductors: In addition to the XLPE upgrade, the ShawlineX Aray cables also incorporate high-quality silver-plated conductors, several layers of shielding, and proprietary Chord Company ARAY geometry.
ChorAlloy: The ShawlineX ARAY cables also incorporate ChorAlloy™-plated, DIN, VEE 3 RCA, or XLR connectors, plus additional material technologies.
Other Shawline Cables: The rest of the Shawline range is comprehensive, boasting a dedicated tonearm cable, mini-jack options, HDMI AOC (Active Optical Cables), power and speaker cables, plus a variety of digital connections.
Tip: The ShawlineX ARAY comes with a lifetime warranty against defective materials and workmanship.
Price and availability
The ShawlineX ARAY cable Line is priced from £210 (0.5 m length) and is available now with custom lengths and terminations to order through Authorized Chord Company Dealers.
Tip: Our review of the ShawlineX Aray cables is forthcoming next week.
Note: Chord Company (cable maker) and Chord Electronics (high-end audio component maker) are separate companies.
