Channel Master today unveiled a new subscription-free consumer DVR for over-the-air TV recording. The DVR+ (model CM-7500GB16) is a dual-tuner DVR that records broadcast HDTV when used with an external antenna and hard drive (both not included), while a unique integrated TV programming guide makes it easy to select what to record. The ultra-slim device, which stands just over one-half inch in height, also offers streaming video services.
DVR+ lets users pause or rewind live TV up to one hour, and dual tuners allow them to record one program while watching another, or simultaneously record two programs. The DVR+ comes with 16GB of internal flash memory to get users up-and-running out of the box with the ability to pause live TV and store a limited number of recordings. Full extended DVR functionality is enabled with the connection of a USB external hard drive, providing the ultimate choice in personal storage capacity.
