THORENS TD 2030A analog turntable $3299.00
A stunning crystal blue design, with performance to match the looks
Behind the new TD 2030 lies over one hundred years of turntable manufacturing knowledge. To this, the 2030 adds the newest materials technology and the latest tools in research and development.
The chassis is 1.3 inches deep, made from a bonded sandwich of polished clear Acryl, with superb anti resonant characteristics. The 1.4 inch thick platter is a perfectly machined polished alloy disk weighing over 13 lbs, balanced and fitted with a vibration damping backside coating. The external motor is a state of-the-art unit enclosed in it’s own housing and isolated from the chassis for reduced noise. The newly developed silent-run bearing is an integral part of the design, a unique ceramic sleeve substantially reducing friction and noise compared with a typical bronze sleeve. This advanced bearing runs dry, without any maintenance during it’s whole lifetime. All this is decoupled with proprietary adjustable isolation points. Playback is through the Thorens TP300 pickup arm which offers exceptional performance at a reasonable cost. With outstanding design & engineering, the TD 2030 is a long-term investment in musical pleasure.
