In Response to New TSA Screening Guidelines, Case Logic Offers Solutions to Simplify the Screening Process for Air-Travelers
Case Logic, the leading innovator in organization solutions for consumer electronics, today announced that in response to a request by the Travel and Safety Administration (TSA) regarding new security screening measures, the company is developing cases and sleeves that will allow travelers to easily go through security without removing their laptop computers.
Later this summer, the TSA will allow travelers with Case Logic’s Security Friendly cases to pass through security checkpoints without removing their laptop for individual inspection, helping travelers get through security lines at a faster pace. These Security Friendly cases isolate the laptop computer so x-ray screeners have an unobstructed view of the laptop and can inspect it quickly and easily.
To help ease what can already be a hectic security process, Case Logic will be offering two collections of Security Friendly solutions: laptop cases that isolate the laptop computer in an individual compartment, and laptop sleeves that still require removal from a traveler’s carryon, but do not require removal of the laptop.
“We are committed to helping our customers simplify their travel experiences,” says Doug Edwards, global category manager for Case Logic. “If travelers don’t have to remove their laptops, it will measurably speed up security lines. Our products will offer increased protection while making the travel process easier and faster for our customers.”
More information about the TSA’s new security screening guidelines is expected later this summer. Pending TSA’s implementation of the new security screening guidelines, Case Logic’s Security Friendly laptop sleeves will be available on http://www.caselogic.com. Case Logic’s Security Friendly laptop case will be available in November.
