Canon Announces Three New Office All-in-One Printers Perfect For Home Office Functionality And Beautiful Photo Prints

Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced three new Office All-in-One (AIO) products, further expanding its current line to cover a larger variety of market segments and price points. The Canon PIXMA MX700, MX310 and MX300 Office All-in-One Printers offer printing, scanning, copying and faxing capabilities, while the PIXMA MX700 Office All-in-One Printer will also offer users Ethernet connectivity for networked capability. These new models provide an ideal solution for users looking to combine outstanding office functionality with the cutting edge of home photo printing. Exclusive Canon printing, copying and scanning technologies deliver the highest quality output for business, as well as photo projects. All three AIO printers feature sleek and stylish designs to match modern office decors while saving space at the same time.

“Canon’s line of business All-in-One printers is designed to deliver excellent business documents and applications during work hours and at the same time exceptional photo quality to serve business or personal needs,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A. “Canon customers no longer have to choose between a business machine or a photo printer, as this product segment fulfills both requirements.”

The PIXMA MX700 Office All-in-One Printer delivers quality output by using a maximum of 4800 x 1200 color dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution1 and four individual ink tanks for long-lasting prints and laser-sharp documents. Printing and copying speeds of up to 30 pages per minute (ppm) in black and 20 ppm in color2 gets any job done quickly. Need to connect this printer to a network? Ethernet connectivity allows for multiple workstations in the same small office to benefit from the advanced features of the PIXMA MX700 Office All-in-One Printer.

In the small office environment, efficiency can directly impact the bottom line. These new models feature the Canon Quick Start capability. The Quick Start feature allows the user to start using the AIO in a matter of seconds, rather than waiting up to two minutes for the product to warm up. Now users can press the power button and watch their AIO start up almost immediately, without long delays between pressing the power button and actually seeing the user interface on the screen. With an improved, faster 30-page Auto Document Feeder (ADF), business documents can be scanned and copied in a flash.

The PIXMA MX700 Office All-in-One Printer is the quintessential small office workhorse. The copy function features new Advanced Copy Technology to master the most common copy needs. This copy technology allows users to easily erase the frame created around a small scan, trim any desired area on the original to be copied, and even white-out an unwanted area of the original before copying it- all right from the control panel. Super G3 fax technology3 transmits faxes very quickly for even greater efficiency. All this adds up to increased productivity in the office and fast quality output for business documents as well as photos. The estimated selling price of the PIXMA MX700 Office All-in-One printer is $199.99.4

The estimated selling price of the PIXMA MX300 Office All-in-One Printer is $99.99.4

Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE)
The new Canon Office All-in-One products can also produce beautiful photo prints thanks to FINE technology. Launched globally by Canon in 1999, the Canon FINE advanced print head technology is one of the keys to the impressive speed and high photo quality in PIXMA Photo All-in-One Printers. FINE technology uses a high-performance multi-nozzle print engine that ejects consistent and microscopic ink droplets. The results are high-resolution photos with great detail and clarity in less time.

2 PPM print speeds are based on the highest speed printer driver mode using black and white and color text patterns. Photo print speeds are based on the default mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and select Canon Photo Paper. 5 Based on accelerated testing by Canon under controlled temperature, humidity, and gas conditions. For the 100-year figure, Canon simulated storage in an album with plastic sleeves. For the 30-year lightfastness figure, Canon simulated display of a photo in a glass frame in an indoor location without direct sunlight or other high intensity light. The 10-year gas fastness figure is based on a testing ratio of gases typical to an indoor air composition (O3: NOx:SOx=3:19:1) with 100 times concentration in order to accelerate color fading. Canon cannot guarantee the longevity of prints; results may vary depending on printed image, drying time, display/storage conditions and environmental factors.
