Canon just introduced the imageFORMULA P-215II Scan-tini Mobile Document Scanner, which is compatible with both Windows and Mac. It offers a “Plug-and-Scan” capability, so users can scan items without having to install drivers or applications. An additional time-saving option allows users to configure routine scan jobs for quick and easy one-touch access. With a single click, users can adjust multiple feature settings to deliver optimal images.
This scanner can optionally operate wirelessly and send files to select tablets, smartphones or mobile devices for easy transferring and sharing of scanned documents. The P-215II Scan-tini also features an automatic document feeder, and is capable of scanning both sides of an item at the same time for fast, efficient scanning.
Despite its compact size, the P-215II scanner produces high-quality images and can improve the legibility of hard-to-scan documents, such as those with dark backgrounds. Users can trim, straighten, and remove shadows from scanned images so output is clear and easy-to-read. The P-215II scanner can also successfully scan mixed batches of documents and photographs by automatically adjusting the resolution to improve image quality, and is capable of scanning plastic or embossed cards.
An optional WU10 Wireless Adapter and Battery Pack, coupled with the free Canon CaptureOnTouch mobile app, broadens the P-215II scanner’s connectivity. As a result, users can wirelessly scan documents to iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices — or even directly to cloud applications like Evernote and Google Docs.
For effortless collaboration and sharing, the P-215II scanner includes industry-standard Windows ISIS/TWAIN and MAC TWAIN drivers, facilitating smooth scanner integration with third-party applications and seamless device sharing between Mac and Windows users.
