PHILIPS UNVEILS ENTERPRISE-WIDE DICTATION MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR BLACKBERRY DEVICES
SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 empowers BlackBerry device users with mobile dictation functionality, including enhanced security, intuitive operation, and easy administration
Atlanta, Georgia – Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG) today announced the release of SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 for BlackBerry devices, a mobile dictation and dictation management application that allows voice files to be recorded on BlackBerry devices and downloaded for transcription.
Product features include:
An intuitive interface that enables users to assign key controls to fit individual preferences, making the application suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
The ability to record files without an internet connection.
Secure encryption and decryption technology for enhanced security.
The SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 also allows additional 128-bit dictation file encryption for download security. The SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 Mobile Server manages users and dictation file delivery for fast, secure download results in reduced transmission time and substantially lower phone costs. This feature is independent of Research In Motion (RIM) software, which usually handles BlackBerry device communications.
SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 for Blackberry supports all Blackberry devices including the Blackberry Pearl, Curve, and Bold series, and requires no special telecommunication prerequisites other than a valid contract and working connection. For users of other SmartPhones or personal digital assistants (PDAs), Philips provides the SpeechExec Mobile software for computer-free file transfer — another module of the Philips SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 dictation workflow solution.
