New Three-Way Z62 Blends Sophisticated Technology with Versatility and Style for Accurate, Vibrant Home Theater and Two-Channel Audio

CES ’07, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2006 — BG Corporation, the world leader in planar ribbon loudspeaker technology, introduces the sophisticated Z62 Z-Series Loudspeaker at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show, beginning here today.

The new Z62 is a left/center/right loudspeaker that perfectly matches BG’s new floorstanding Z92 Loudspeaker, also being introduced at CES. Like the Z92, the Z62 is a new entry in BG’s award-winning Z-Series of affordable stereo and Home Theater systems. It brings to critical listeners a superb new level of sound reproduction characterized by extended bass with very high SPL capabilities, significantly less distortion, and greater accuracy and sonic refinement than other speakers in its class.

All Z-Series speakers are adept at delivering astonishing Home Theater sound as well as faithful two-channel music. Using several innovations, including planar ribbon technology, Z-Series speakers effortlessly and accurately reproduce the quiet, silky sounds of a classical guitar, the hushed whispers of the human voice and the high-impact sound of Hollywood movies, making them favorites with today’s leading designers.

The new Z62 combines high-resolution transducers in an uncompromising proprietary configuration to deliver the highest performance possible. BG engineers perfected its design over a three-year period using the company’s latest breakthrough technologies to once again deliver the astonishing clarity and imaging for which BG speakers are known. At the same time, its elegant, richly veneered cabinet perfectly suits contemporary tastes.

Resting 28.6 inches wide, 11.5 inches deep and only 7.7 inches high, the Z62houses a patented Neo3PDR ribbon tweeter coaxially mounted in front of a new 10×5-inch Neo10 midrange planar driver. The Neo10 reproduces wide-band sound with unsurpassed resolution and transparency, perfectly matching the Neo3PDR tweeter.

BG’s planar ribbon drivers are highly accurate and possess negligible distortion. Symmetrically flanking planar ribbon array and matching its superb performance, the Z62 utilizes two 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofers with rubber surrounds. The woofers feature sophisticated double-gap motor topology, and a Neodymium magnet system.

The innovative motor design, the stiff aluminum cones, and the acoustically transparent cast-chassis combine to provide extremely linear operation, enabling the Z62 to deliver clarity and fine-detail resolution even at peak levels. A symmetrically braced MDF cabinet and high-performance crossover network further augment the synergy and seamless performance of the drivers.

The Z62 is available in three real-veneer finishes — black ash, cherry and light maple — all designed to beautifully complement a broad range of interior and Home Theater furnishings. Included with the speaker is BG’s lifetime warranty.

BG’s Z62 Loudspeaker will be available in February from authorized BG Corp. dealers at a suggested price of $999 each. It can be seen with BG Corp.’s other outstanding products in Renaissance 18, at the Renaissance Hotel, during CES.
