BenQ HT2150ST Projector for Gamers

BenQ HT2150ST Projector

BenQ just announced the HT2150ST high brightness, full HD 1080p projector with low input lag optimized for console gaming. The short-throw DLP projector offers up to a 100-inch picture at just five feet from the screen. Two built-in 20-watt speakers, enhanced with CinemaMaster Audio+, provide stereo sound right from the projector itself.

The BenQ HT2150ST projector boasts Colorific performance powered by Texas Instruments’ long-lasting DLP single-chip technology and 2200 ANSI lumens of brightness. The display offers full HD 1080p resolution, a six-segment RGBRGB color wheel with BrilliantColor technology and a 15000:1 contrast ratio that delivers pristine colors for superb visual performance. Additional HT2150ST benefits include a .69 short-throw ratio and 1.2X zoom ratio capabilities to allow the projector to be placed in tight spaces within five feet from the screen for a hassle-free installation.

The HT2150ST projector features low input lag, empowering gamers to react to every attack without delay. The fast, micro-second DMD response time delivers smooth and quick visuals without motion blur. Additionally, two specialized gaming modes provide visual clarity to fit the ambient lighting of any environment, unearthing hidden details in the darkest shadows and brightest highlights in a dark room or protecting image details in a well-lit room.

“With this projector, we’ve even brought our gaming monitor expertise to the experience — embedding features like low input lag and faster response time, which casual gamers will appreciate,” said J.Y. Hu, vice president, business line management at BenQ America Corp.

The HT2150ST features dual HDMI ports with one doubling as an MHL port, which allows users to unchain media from their mobile devices and seamlessly display videos, games or photos on the big screen. Equipped with BenQ’s SmartEco energy-saving technology, the HT2150ST automatically adjusts lamp brightness based on content, projecting richer blacks and increasing contrast to reveal tiny text and subtle details. Finally, BenQ claims whisper-quiet operation at 29 dBA (27 dBA ‎in eCo mode).

Price and Availability
The BenQ HT2150ST home entertainment projector will be available September 2016 for $1,299.
