B&O PLAY by Bang & Olufsen just released the $800 Beolit 12 AirPlay portable speaker in a white housing, light grey aluminium speaker grill and a black carrier handle that serves. The Beolit 12 White Edition reflects the design philosophy of both B&O PLAY and Cecilie Manz, the designer behind the retro-cool exterior.
Despite its relatively small size and elegant form, the company says Beolit 12 packs a powerful music punch with a 120 Watt digital Class D power amplifier system individually driving two 2” tweeters and a 4” woofer to give you a strong and accurate sound performance. The sound profile is the signature B&O PLAY sound — honest and clean, designed to bring you music the way the artists intended it — with no tweaks or over-emphasized elements.
Beolit 12 has both a built-in power supply and a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 8 hours. The portable speaker features AirPlay technology that allows you to wirelessly stream music from your Apple device or a computer running iTunes to the music system.
